PRICE CONFIRMED AT CONSULTATION
Biofiller and EZ Gel are prepared from a small sample of your own blood, and used to support the quality of the skin — and, where the assessment supports it, soft-tissue support and the delicate under-eye area. Our clinic is in Birkenhead, Wirral, welcoming patients from Liverpool and across Merseyside. Every treatment begins with consultation and clinical assessment.

Biofiller is an autologous treatment: the material placed is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, rather than being a manufactured gel. It is used to support the quality of the skin and — where the assessment supports it — soft-tissue support in selected areas of the face.
Because it is prepared from your own blood, there is no foreign product involved. That is the reason many patients ask about it, but it is not a reason to assume it is right for everyone, or that it does what dermal filler does.
Biofiller is also called plasma biofiller, plasma gel or autologous biofiller. Those are different names for the same approach, and you will see them used interchangeably.
EZ Gel is the name the prepared plasma gel is known by — the gel itself, formed from your own blood, rather than a different treatment. Where we say EZ Gel we mean the material; where we say Biofiller we mean the treatment of placing it.
In practice the two terms are used interchangeably, and both appear across this page. Other clinics and patients may call it plasma gel or autologous biofiller.
The distinction matters less than what is done with it: which areas are treated, how much is used and where, and whether it is the right approach for your skin at all. Those are the questions your consultation answers.
A small sample of blood is collected at the clinic, in the same appointment as your treatment. It is then separated and prepared on site so that the plasma component can be formed into a gel.
The preparation follows the clinic’s own validated protocol, using the device and materials we work with. We do not publish preparation parameters, centrifuge settings or heating protocols: those are clinical detail rather than patient information, and the protocol belongs to the clinic.
From your point of view the process is straightforward — one blood sample, a short wait while it is prepared, then treatment in the areas agreed at your consultation.
They are different treatments with different purposes, and neither is universally better. The right choice depends on what has changed in your face and what you want to address, which is what the consultation is for.
Biofiller is not a like-for-like substitute for filler, and it is not presented as safer or better in every case. Both involve injections and both carry risk. Where filler is the more appropriate treatment for what has changed, we will say so.
There is no single reason. The ones we hear most often are:
None of these makes Biofiller the right choice on its own. Whether it is appropriate — and whether anything is appropriate — is a clinical decision made at your consultation.
Biofiller is planned in the context of the whole face rather than as a single-area treatment. What has changed, how the areas of your face relate to one another and what is best left alone all shape where treatment makes sense — and where it does not.
Where support or proportion needs restoring rather than skin quality supporting, a different approach may be more appropriate. Where several approaches are needed, they are sequenced over time and reviewed as they go, rather than delivered all at once.
The skin around the eye is the thinnest on the face, and it sits over very little underlying tissue. It is also the area most prone to change, and the one most often treated badly. The concerns patients bring to consultation include hollowness, changes in skin quality, crepiness and a tired appearance.
Not every under-eye concern is suitable for Biofiller — and in this area we decline treatment more often than we perform it. Some concerns are better addressed by another approach entirely, and some are best left alone. Which of those applies to you is decided by assessment, not by the name of a treatment.

TECHNIQUE & TRAINING
The autologous plasma gel technique used at Beyond Skin UK was learned directly from Dr Rajani, whose teaching on regenerative aesthetics underpins how we prepare and place it.
DR RAJANI — OFFICIAL SITETHE EYE AREA
The skin around the eye is the thinnest on the face, and it sits over very little underlying tissue. That is why it is usually the first area to show change, and why it is the area most often treated badly.
The Autologous Eye Protocol is how we plan treatment there: not one product for one line, but a considered combination of approaches chosen for your skin, sequenced over time and reviewed as it goes.

READ MOREThe eye area changes in more than one way at once. Skin quality thins and creases; the tissue beneath it loses support; surface texture and pigment change too. A single approach tends to address one of those and leave the others visible — which is why the area so often looks under-treated, or over-treated in the wrong places.
Working in layers means each part of the change is addressed by the approach suited to it: support where support is needed, skin quality where the skin itself is the issue, and surface where texture and tone are. Because the plan is built in sequence, each stage can be reviewed before the next is added.
Not everyone needs every part of the protocol — and some people need none of it. Which modalities are used, in what order and at what intervals, is decided at your consultation, after the area has been assessed properly.
Where treatment is not appropriate, we will say so. Where it is, you will know what is being proposed, why, and what a realistic outcome looks like before you decide.

BIOFILLER & EZ GEL TRAININGQUESTIONS
Biofiller is an autologous treatment: the material placed is prepared from a small sample of your own blood rather than being a manufactured gel. It is used to support the quality of the skin and, where the assessment supports it, soft-tissue support in selected areas of the face. At Beyond Skin UK it is prepared and placed in clinic, following a consultation.
EZ Gel is the name for the prepared plasma gel itself — the material formed from your own blood. Biofiller describes the treatment of placing it. The two terms are used interchangeably, and both describe the same autologous approach.
They are related but not identical. Both are autologous, and both are prepared from your own blood, but the preparation and the material differ: PRF is platelet-rich fibrin, while Biofiller — or EZ Gel — is a plasma gel. Beyond Skin UK offers both, and which is appropriate depends on what is being treated. That is discussed at your consultation.
Dermal filler is a manufactured gel, most commonly hyaluronic acid, placed to restore support, contour and proportion directly. Biofiller is prepared from your own blood and is used to support skin quality and soft-tissue support, with the change developing gradually. Neither is universally better: the right choice depends on what has changed in your face.
Where the assessment supports it, yes. The under-eye area is complex and treated conservatively. Not every concern there is suitable for Biofiller, and some are better addressed by another approach entirely. How we plan the eye area is set out in the Autologous Eye Protocol on this page.
How long any change lasts varies between individuals, and depends on your tissue response, the areas treated and your own biology. We do not quote a fixed duration, because a number would suggest a certainty we cannot offer. Your response is reviewed at your follow-up appointment, and the plan is adjusted from there.
A course of three treatments may be recommended, depending on tissue quality, age-related change, the areas treated, your response and your goals. That is a possibility rather than a promise — a specific result is never guaranteed after three sessions, and some patients need fewer, some more.
Downtime is typically minimal. Mild swelling, redness or bruising can occur at the blood collection site and at the treatment area, and usually settles within a few days. Around the eye, mild puffiness can take slightly longer. Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for the first 24 hours.
Suitability is confirmed at your consultation. It may be considered where the goal is supporting skin quality, fine or crepey skin, or soft-tissue support in selected areas. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, an active skin infection in the area, blood or clotting disorders, certain medications, recent significant sun exposure and a history of problematic scarring all need to be assessed first — they do not automatically rule you out.

It may be. Biofiller is prepared from your own blood rather than a manufactured gel, which is the reason many patients ask about it — particularly for the under-eye area. It is not a like-for-like replacement for filler, and where filler is the more appropriate treatment for what has changed, we will say so at your consultation.
A full assessment: your medical history, the areas you would like to discuss, and what has changed. You will be told whether Biofiller is appropriate, what it can realistically achieve, what the alternatives are and what it would cost. Nothing is treated at the consultation, and there is no obligation to proceed.
